Salary:          £27,500/annum (£31,429 equivalent to full time hours)

Headway Birmingham & Solihull We are looking for a person to become the Registered Manager for our Specialist Brain Injury Community Services across Birmingham & Solihull which provides 1to1 mentoring support to our brain injured clients enabling them to work towards achieving personal goals in their homes and in the community, ultimately helping them reach full potential.

 

Duties to include:

 

As the registered Manager you will be managing the day to day delivery of this high quality, person centred community care service, running our Lifestyle Team of 30 Support Workers and Admin Staff,  including co-ordinator and supervisors, to ensure that all service needs are met in an effective and efficient manner.  You will ensure that CQC requirements are met and that the service continues to develop and grow. 

 

 

You will

  • Deliver a range of daily living services to vulnerable adults using a person-centred approach that maximises independence and improves the lives of our clients after brain injury.

  • Oversee the day to day running of the service and its development

  • Develop and introduce systems and documents for the efficient operation of the service

  • Manage staff to ensure smooth running of the service including organising the day-to-day staff rotas and timetables

  • Take on new care packages, ensuring that care assessments, risk assessments and care plans are completed and in place

  • Lead and develop the staff team: provide supervision, support and reviews to the team & deliver inductions, refreshers and coaching as required

  • Monitor the cover and respond to 24/7 ‘on duty’ calls to ensure the clients get the service

  • Produce monthly reports for CEO, and annual tasks such as funding report, evaluations etc

  • Produce annual statistics, quality and performance reports

  • Manage the Lifestyle service budget and enter monthly accounts

  • Develop important links / partnerships with PCT’s, Social Services, Hospitals and other brain injury related organisations

 

The Successful Candidate will

  • Have a good understanding of CQC standards

  • Either have experience of being a Registered manager, or be prepared to become one

  • Have experience of managing care services in the community

  • Be qualified to NVQ4 / ILM5 or already working towards

  • Be a driver with own vehicle

  • Be a good leader of staff teams
