VACANCY:  BRAIN INJURY SKILLS COACH

Headway Birmingham & Solihull are looking to recruit a BRAIN INJURY SKILLS COACH to work Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) at our Leighton House Centre in Rubery and who must also be prepared to work at any Headway site in Moseley and Sutton Coldfield as required.

 

Location: Birmingham & Solihull

Salary: £18,487.89pa, grade 5 pay spine 3 (dependent on age and experience)

Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday - Friday

Duration: Permanent

Duties include: -

 

· Plan, prepare and run training sessions within the agreed programme to include areas of educational skills, IT, BI deficits, art & crafts, social skills, communication and attending college courses & social activities

· Ensure training materials are reviewed / updated and new session plans introduced

· Overseeing client’s safety, comfort and well-being at all times

· Overseeing client’s safety, comfort and well-being at all times

· Have responsibility for care staff and volunteers under your supervision.

Previous experience of working with people with disabilities and knowledge of brain injury is desirable.

We will require an enhanced DBS disclosure, expense of which will be met by employer.
