The Sports & Wellbeing Project is about enabling brain injured people and their carers to access community activities in their local areas to reduce isolation, and to improve confidence and general health. This might include activities such as cycling, swimming, archery, boccia, fishing, rock climbing, table tennis, bowling, lunch & cinema clubs, music & photography clubs.

Headway Birmingham & Solihull is looking to appoint a Sports Activity Leader     to set up and facilitate specific Headway activities in the community, for brain injured people and their carers / families. To take the lead in running of the planned activities and provide supervision and support to motivate others

We require a confident and friendly individual to plan, organise and facilitate user led activities in the community according to project aims.  It would be advantageous if the candidate were able to drive a minibus, as this may be required from time to time.  The role will require flexibility to accommodate evening & weekend work.

Previous applicants need not apply.

We will require an enhanced DBS disclosure, expense of which will be met by Headway Birmingham & Solihull.
