Volunteering Vacancies

Volunteers are crucial to the work of Headway Birmingham & Solihull. There are many ways in which you can help us with your time and effort.
We currently have the following opportunies within our Carer Services Team:
VOLUNTEER COUNSELLOR
To deliver a counselling service to people with an acquired bran injury or their carers for one day per week at Leighton House.
All applicants must be able to work unsupervised, have current BACP membership and professional indemnity insurance.
VOLUNTEER MINIBUS DRIVER
To drive the Headway Birmingham & Solihull Minibus to social activities for carers of people with an acquired brain injury (and occasionally their loved ones too) and assist staff to accompany groups for the day.
Required for approximately 1 or 2 days per month.
Must have full clean driving licence and be prepared to work some evenings and weekends.

There are several opportunities for people to volunteer in this area. There are many support and training events at which we need help. We also need trainers, counsellors and therapists who can offer services voluntarily. Help at support groups and social events is also welcome.
