A perfect opportunity for a motivated, experienced SALT who is looking for a ‘work life’ balance, to join our new team. The successful candidate will provide patient-centred care to individuals recovering from brain injuries, working to improve speech, language, swallowing and overall quality of life.
We are a small local Charity who are looking to provide therapy as part of our new service model and seek an experienced person who can oversee the delivery of physio assessment and setting up/delivering treatment plans.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a community setting and in the field of brain injury. It would also suit someone semi-retired or a ‘returning to work’ individual who would like a new challenge.

-
You will be supporting the rehabilitation of clients with acquired brain injuries, at the post-acute stages, at our Hub. The successful candidate will be required to assess and implement effective SALT interventions to help clients improve communication and speech.
-
The small team will aim to treat and provide ongoing rehabilitation programmes for our clients, including those with multiple and complex medical and social issues. We are an integrated service with health & social care.
-
As we will have a small team, the therapist will be required to train and supervise the Therapy Assistants and undergraduate students to deliver Treatment Plans. You will be working with a Nurse lead, Physiotherapist and have opportunities for MD working with other health and social care professionals and family members.
-
The post holder will also be expected to cover others in the team in order to deliver other wellbeing and social sessions.
-
You will be required to document patient progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and monitoring.
-
You will be responsible for you own CPD and clinical supervision, but we can discuss how we can support this.
