Headway B&S has always been fortunate to have a strong board of Trustee Directors who have been fully supportive to the Chief Executive, and forward thinking in its approach. The board of directors of the company are also trustees of the charity. We are always keen to expand the Board of Trustee Directors and especially welcome people with different skills, and from many backgrounds. We try to have a wide representation of people to ensure that we have input from people of all ages, disability, sex and race. All Trustees receive an Induction Pack and Directors Handbook fully explaining the roles and responsibilities. Being a Trustee does not always require experience and skills, we also welcome people who are able to give their time and enthusiasm. We expect that a Trustee will give a small amount of commitment to turning up for meetings etc. and understand that everything discussed in meetings, is to be treated with the strictest of confidence.
We are often in need of people with the following experiences:
-
a carer of someone with a disability
-
work experience in a Primary Care Trust or Local Authority
-
work experience in Health or Social Care
-
local community involvement in the West Midlands
-
business skills

Occasionally Trustees may be asked to join a sub-committee. They are usually set up for a particular 'one off' project, or certain aspects of the management of Headway B&S that would benefit from Trustee input, such as Quality Standards Review or Policy making.
If you, or someone you know might be interested in becoming a Trustee -
