VACANCY: CO CLIENT SUPERVISOR

 

Location: Leighton House, Birmingham Great Park, Rubery

Salary per hour:   £26,237.86 per year
Job - Permanent: 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday (8:40am - 4pm with one day working in the office 7:40am - 3pm)  .

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated Community Outreach Client Supervisor to provide supervisory services to support the smooth running of the Community Outreach Department under the direction of the Community Outreach & Programmes Manager.

  • To supervise a team of Support Workers to ensure the smooth running of the service including organising the day-to-day staff rotas & timetables, as well as supporting our brain injured clients to achieve their own personal goals

  • Provide cover to clients in the absence of Support Workers.

  • To monitor staff cover on a rota with the team and respond to ‘on duty’ calls between 8am and 10pm to ensure clients receive a service and staff receive support and guidance.  You will be required to provide cover to clients in the absence of a Support Workers

  • To deal with assessments and care plans for clients and be involved in the referral procedure

  • To assist the manager in the running of the service including co-ordinating the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained

  • Book/attend reviews with clients/workers as directed, after 6 weeks, yearly, bi-yearly and annually for each client and where there are any changes of worker.  Update tasks/care plans accordingly.

  • Provide supervision/support to Workers to ensure they are completing the tasks correctly with their clients in conjunction with the Community Outreach Programmes Manager.

  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out for each client and that these are adequately monitored and updated regularly.

  • To communicate in a variety of different methods and deal with challenging situations. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and show patience, empathy and understanding.

  • You will have a proven track record of motivating others including carrying out supervision meetings.  You will have experience of monitoring the care provided and identifying and resolving issues arising for the ‘day to day’ operation.

  • To work in the office one day per week from 7:40am – 3pm

 

Previous experience of working with people with disabilities in health and social care with a knowledge of brain injury is desirable.

 

The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
